Yakima Valley Libraries and Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation share the vision of vibrant communities in the Yakima Valley where imagination and opportunity thrive. The Foundation inspires philanthropic support, advocacy for, and pride in the library.
We support the values of community, equity, inclusion, respect, learning, and fostering a welcoming environment.
About Us
As the philanthropic arm of the Yakima Valley Libraries, the Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation partners with individuals, businesses, foundations, corporations, and community organizations to fund innovative and inspiring programs throughout the library system and expand the capacity of the library to serve more people.
Our History
The Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation was established in March of 2000 and has provided funding for programs such as: Fall, Winter and Summer Reading Programs, Teen Space Materials, and Community Reads Programming
Over the course of our history, we have contributed in excess of $80,000 to the library system.
The Yakima Valley Libraries Foundation is a public, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service and the Washington State Secretary of State.
